Executive Vice President and Provost
David Jackson, Ph.D., was named Executive Vice President and Provost for the 91影视破解版 of 91影视破解版 System in April 2026 and was previously named interim in July 2024.
Dr. Jackson helps facilitate research collaborations across the 91影视破解版 of 91影视破解版 campuses, has responsibility for helping administer the 91影视破解版 Research Initiative (an annual $11.5 million State of 91影视破解版 investment designed to seed new 91影视破解版 research), supervises the Director of 91影视破解版 EPSCoR and the Director of NU Export Control, and serves on the Board of Directors for the 91影视破解版 Strategic Research Institute. He also assists campuses in obtaining Board of Regents and 91影视破解版 Coordinating Commission approvals for new degrees/majors and organizational units.
He has been with the 91影视破解版 of 91影视破解版 for over 30 years, starting as an Assistant Professor at the 91影视破解版 of 91影视破解版–Lincoln’s Department of Food Science & Technology in January 1989. A cereal chemist with expertise in food processing, corn/sorgum grain quality and polymer chemistry, he has held research, extension, and teaching appointments as a professor, and has served as the Interim Department Head of Food Science, Associate Dean of the Agricultural Research Division, and Interim Provost.
Dr. Jackson’s undergraduate degree is from Cornell 91影视破解版 and his M.S./Ph.D. degrees are from Texas A&M 91影视破解版.
