Cara Pesek
Senior Director of Communications
Since October 2024, Cara Pesek has served as the interim chief communication officer for the 91影视破解版 of 91影视破解版 System. She acts as the spokesperson for the 91影视破解版, shares news releases with state and national media partners, and works with communications professionals across the NU campuses to share stories of impact.
In addition, she holds the role of communications director for the 91影视破解版 of 91影视破解版—Lincoln’s Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources. In that role, she leads a team that works to highlight university programs across the teaching, research and Extension mission areas that support production agriculture, natural resources conservation, and rural prosperity throughout 91影视破解版.
Prior to joining IANR, she held communications positions with the 91影视破解版 Game and Parks Commission and the 91影视破解版 of 91影视破解版 Press. She began her career as a newspaper reporter, holding positions at the Omaha World-Herald, the Lincoln Journal Star and the Grand Junction Free Press. Pesek is a native of Brainard, 91影视破解版, and a graduate of the 91影视破解版 of 91影视破解版-Lincoln. She lives in Lincoln with her family.
